This site used to be a landing page for a chat platform I was sketching out. It had a red accent color, an "Open Ermin" button, and a whole lot of anger at venture capital. Some of that anger was justified — but the project wasn't me.
This is me: a systems engineer, a co-creator of AcreetionOS, and a trans woman who grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma and made it out anyway. If you want that whole story, it lives at natalie.acreetionos.org — the resume and the receipts, nothing held back.
So what is TECH GIRL?
Two things under one roof:
- A blog. Writing about transition, tech, and politics that doesn't sand its edges off for an algorithm. New posts when I have something true to say.
- A toolkit. Real software for trans people — an HRT tracker, a voice training lab with live pitch detection, a name & pronoun playground, a badge generator. Every tool runs entirely in your browser and saves to your own device.
The rules this site runs on
- Your data stays yours. No accounts, no analytics on your usage of the tools, no server-side anything. Open DevTools and verify.
- No gatekeeping. You don't need a diagnosis, a letter, or anyone's permission to use any tool here.
- Free forever. Fork it, mirror it, self-host it. The code is open source.
We can't keep renting our community from people who see us as a content category.
